Application: Waste rinse water from electrophoretic paint facility

Location:  Uttoxeter

Contract Value:  £130,000

Overview:  Following full consultation with the customer Plastratum were commissioned to design, build, factory test, install, test and commission an effluent treatment plant to meet the customer’s specific requirements.

Challenge:

A major construction plant manufacturer has installed a new electrophoretic paint line, requiring effluent treatment to provide wastewater suitable for discharge to the local foul sewer.

Water Authority discharge limits need to be met to ensure a safe, legal and consistent flow of waste to foul sewer.

Solution:

Plastratum designed a custom-built modular effluent treatment plant, complete with a polypropylene/ GRP laminate settlement tank to provide a hard wearing, long lasting and maintenance free system.

The plant consisted of skid mounted control panel, coagulation, precipitation, pumping and poly make-up tank assemblies complete with dosing and transfer pumps. All interconnected and tested at our works prior to delivery to site.

Installation, commissioning and training was completed by our in-house team of engineers.

The automated chemical dosing provides a discharge to foul sewer well within the local Water Authority discharge limits in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
